Solar Storm Survival is an interactive educational game created for the NASA Space Apps Challenge 2025 by Team HARVISTA.
The game explores how solar storms can affect humans, spacecraft, communication systems, and aviation through two different missions.
During the space mission, players must stabilize a spacecraft, operate its systems, communicate with Earth, activate radiation protection, and respond to random malfunctions.
The Earth mission places the player in control of a passenger aircraft during a solar storm. Communication disruptions force the player to reconnect with network towers while navigating safely toward the airport.
The project combines educational gameplay with interactive problem-solving to demonstrate the practical effects of solar storms.
